CSC (NYSE: CSC), alongside team leader Riverside Technology, won an ID/IQ contract for scientific and technical support services to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
As one of three teams, the group has access to the deal that includes a five-year period of performance and a potential value of $550 million for all firms.
“This contract will allow all NOAA offices to quickly access research, engineering and scientific expertise from the private sector to support their collective missions and address both short and long term events that NOAA forecasts, from tornadoes to climate change, ” said James W. Sheaffer, president of CSC’s North American Public Sector. “Through this ID/IQ contract, we will provide critical pieces of the research and analysis that help NOAA protect citizens from life-threatening events, as well as manage the complexities and challenges of our changing climate.”
