CSC (NYSE: CSC) is set to pick up contracts from the FAA to work on the System Engineering 2020 (SE2020) program, a piece of the larger Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) initiative to overhaul America’s airspace.
SE2020 is centered on mission analysis, research, development, prototyping and flight demonstration of solutions.
“For more than 35 years, CSC has been an innovative and trusted partner to the FAA, developing and implementing solutions that reduce flight delays, improve air traffic safety and integrate new air traffic control management technology, ” said Mike Gaffney, president of CSC’s North American Public Sector Civil and Government Health Services Group. “CSC brings expertise in air traffic and traffic flow management, as well as our NexSim simulation and training technology for research and development in the areas of air space use and design.”
