General Dynamics Fills Up with Marine Vehicle Fuel Tank Deal

General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) picked up an $8 million contract from Army TACOM Life Cycle Command to outfit U.S. Marine Corps Light Armored Vehicles (LAV) with safer fuel tanks.

The firm will provide 403 Light Armored Vehicles with a new self-sealing model fuel tank.

The tanks are designed to better defend against shrapnel and other dangers to Marines in transit.
