VICE PRESIDENT/EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, PROFESSIONAL, TECHNICAL, AND IT SERVICES
Description: AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a $250M rapidly growing provider of government information technology and engineering services is seeking a highly motivated leader and change agent to manage all aspects of the Professional, Technical, and IT Services Strategic Business Offering. ($80M Group) Individual should have extensive executive management; program management; system engineering; and consulting experience with a strong knowledge of the government contracting industry. This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for the following:
- Providing leadership in the oversight and management of Professional, Technical, and IT Services Strategic Business Offering focused on providing a wide range of system engineering and technical assistance (SETA) services to government clients.
- Definition of, and execution to, the Professional, Technical, and IT Services Strategic Business Offering annual operational plan with quantified goals for revenue, profit, DSO, and gross bookings.
- Development of inputs to the AMERICAN SYSTEMS Strategic Plan relative to the Professional, Technical, and IT Services Strategic Business Offering.
- Oversight and expansion of several existing business areas spanning Civilian Federal, Department of Defense, and Intelligence Community customer sets.
- Definition, development, and execution of strategies to increase the viability of AMERICAN SYSTEMS as a prime contractor supporting government clients on large scale acquisition programs.
- Definition and standardization of AMERICAN SYSTEMS methodologies across disparate government markets.
- Definition and standardization of market offerings across a broad spectrum of government agencies.
- Development and execution of a targeted business development plan identifying new, and expanding current, strategic business offerings and delivering services and solutions to new strategic business areas.
- Recruitment and development of professional, technical, and IT personnel to develop, maintain, and expand a first class capability.
Critical Skills and Requirements: The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Proven track record of profitably and organically growing business;
- Strong experience in marketing and selling program management and engineering services within the government marketplace
- Demonstrated ability to develop winning proposals in response to government requests
- Strong knowledge of government contracting environment and requirements
- Proven track record of delivering professional, technical, and IT services
- Degree in Engineering or Engineering Management, advanced degree highly desired
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly desirable
- Ability and willingness to be cleared at TS/SCI level, existing clearance preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to affect change and drive results
- Capable of attracting and retaining talent and building a high performing organization
- Strong desire to promote a culture of continuous improvement
- Exceptional communicator with an ability to facilitate a team environment
