Citrix Product Achieves New FIPS Compliance, Tom Simmons Speaks

Citrix Systems (NASDAQ:CTXS) product NetScaler MPX has achieved Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2, Level 2 compliance.

According to the firm, “Department of Defense and federal civilian agencies with strict FIPS requirements can now use the new Citrix NetScaler MPX FIPS models to provide trusted security for encrypted Web traffic, which is becoming an increasingly critical component in military and government communication.”

“With FIPS compliance, Citrix gives our Department of Defense and federal civilian agency customers the leading technology for accelerating the performance of web-based applications and improving the security of those web applications, ” said Tom Simmons, VP, U.S. Public Sector. “And, the ability to scale SSL performance without physically replacing any equipment makes it easier for government users to accommodate more users without delay – and without compromising security.”
