Breaking: CGI’s Acquisition of Stanley Finalized

CGI (NYSE: GIB) reports it has completed its planned acquisition of Stanley Associates (NYSE: SXE) for just under $1 billion.

“For CGI, the merger with Stanley helps create additional scale in the U.S. federal market and expands the company’s position in the U.S. defense and intelligence markets, ” CGI’s vice president of U.S. Communications Linda Odorisio told GovCon Wire. ”

“Additionally, the combined company, known as CGI, now delivers end-to-end services and solutions which include advanced engineering and technology services, application and technology management, business process services, operational logistics, and systems integration and consulting.”

“Together, we will continue to provide proven capabilities in high-demand areas for federal agencies including biometrics, citizen services, cyber security, data exchange, green IT, health IT, improper payment recovery, open government and equipment reset, retrograde.”
