Northrop Grumman, Raytheon SAIC Win DoD Contracts

According to the Department of Defense, “SAIC (NYSE: SAI) is being awarded a $9, 513, 837 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with firm-fixed-price and/or firm-fixed-price level-of-effort task orders for information technology ashore operations support services for the Navy’s Military Sealift Command (MSC).  This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $49, 846, 901.  At this time, $300, 000 has been obligated.  Work will be performed primarily at MSC headquarters in Washington, D.C., and other sites in Norfolk, Va., Pensacola, Fla., and San Diego, Calif., as required.  Work is expected to be completed by July 31, 2011.  If all options are exercised, work could continue until July 31, 2015.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.   This contract was competitively procured via an unrestricted solicitation posted to the MSC, Navy Electronic Commerce Online and Federal Business Opportunities Web sites, with five offers received.  The Military Sealift Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00033-10-D-6506).

Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) was awarded a $5, 500, 000 contract modification for software development to test maritime surveillance and maritime imaging modes for the MP-RTIP radar.  At this time, $5, 500, 000 has been obligated.  Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the contracting activity (F-19628-00-C-0100; P00209).

Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) is being awarded a modification for $6, 954, 177 under its cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price (FFP), and FFP-level of effort contract number HQ0006-08-C-0009.  Under this modification, Raytheon Technical Services will maintain continuity of operations and avoid disruption of critical support for the wide-body Airborne Sensor Platform return to service.  The place of performance is Lake Charles, La.  This period of performance is July 2010 to January 2011.  Research, development, test and evaluation funds for fiscal 2009 will be used to incrementally fund this effort in the amount of $1, 112, 000.  The Missile Defense Agency is the contracting activity (HQ0147). “
