SAIC’s Walt Havenstein on New General Counsel Vincent Maffeo

SAIC (NYSE: SAI) named Vincent A. Maffeo to the position of executive vice president and general counsel.

Maffeo is set to succeed Douglas E. Scott, who served as general counsel since 1992 and will remain with SAIC as secretary of the Board of Directors.

Maffeo will report to SAIC Chief Executive Officer Walt Havenstein and will be responsible for oversight of all the company’s legal matters.

“We are deeply appreciative of Doug Scott’s leadership of our legal organization and look forward to his continued service to our Board of Directors, ” said Havenstein. “Looking ahead, we are confident Vince will be a strong addition to our senior leadership team and help us position the company for long-term growth.”
