Vangent’s Kerry Weems on Sponsoring Disabled Vets Winter Sports Clinic

Vangent will sponsor the Department of Veterans Affairs and Disabled American Veterans (DAV) National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic for the sixth consecutive time.

Vangent’s gold-level sponsorship supports a key rehabilitation stepping stone for the severely disabled veterans who will attend this year’s clinic.

The National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic is the largest adaptive winter sports rehabilitative event for veterans of U.S. military service. More than 450 disabled veterans are expected to attend – including those recently injured in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“Our Vangent volunteers look forward to the Sports Clinic every year, ” said Kerry Weems, Senior Vice President of Vangent’s Health Solutions division.  “They know they are giving back to those veterans who have sacrificed so much. We’re honored to be part of this program to help provide critically needed rehabilitation services for these disabled veterans, as well as support the Department of Veterans Affairs and Military Health Systems’ efforts to provide on-going assistance to these veterans and their families.”
