ICx Claims Surveillance Deal from UAE

ICx Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq GM: ICXT) has been awarded a $9 million contract by the Critical National Infrastructure Authority (CNIA) of Abu Dhabi, UAE, for mobile integrated surveillance systems.

As part of the contract, ICx will “provide integrated millimeter wave ground-based radar and thermal/CCTV imaging systems on mobile tactical platforms for deployment around critical infrastructure sites to provide comprehensive wide area surveillance. The systems will detect, track and identify threats long before the perimeter is crossed, providing security officials with decision support and increased response time.”

“With so many different manufacturers and conflicting data formats, perimeter security solutions today must integrate information from a variety of devices, ” said Colin Cumming, CEO of ICx. “ICx sensors and solutions have been designed with ease of integration, service and support in mind. As a result, we can deploy our systems effectively to provide flexibility and scalability as threats and environments change.”
