Northrop Grumman Announces HQ Move to D.C.

Northrop Grumman will relocate its headquarters from Los Angeles to the Washington, D.C. area by 2011. Northrop Grumman headquarters will now be in close proximity to key government customers, such as the Pentagon and the Central Intelligence Agency. The exact location of the new Northrop Grumman headquarters has yet to announced.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the government-contracting giant will relocate 300 employees to the D.C. area with 20, 000 jobs remaining in Los Angeles.

“We are a global security company and when you look at where our largest customer base is located, it’s in the Washington, D.C., region, ” said Wesley Bush, Northrop Grumman’s new chief executive and president.
