At 4:30 pm on December 29, 2009, the Temple University Owls and the UCLA Bruins will meet on the field of RFK stadium for the second annual Eagle Bank Bowl. The main beneficiary of the game will be the Wounded Warriors project, which provides services for wounded veterans. The game will be played to honor the men and woman who serve in the US military.

The government contracting community is also involved in the effort to honor our veterans. According to Bill Hall, Committee Chairman of the Washington Convention and Sports Authority and partner at Winston & Strawn, “The government contracting community have been helpful sponsors for this game.”

Last year, the game between Navy and Wake Forest drew a crowd of around 30, 000. The event is sponsored in part by the DC Washington Convention and Sports Authority and Eagle Bank. Organizations can still become sponsors of the event here.
