News- Lockheed Martin’s Ken Van Meter Elected to NIST Smart Grid Board

Ken Van Meter, principal for the Energy and Cyber Services for the  Enterprise Integration Group at Lockheed Martin, has been elected to the Smart Grid Interoperability Panel Governing Board at the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST). The board is a public-private partnership to help NIST coordinate the development of guidelines to ensure interoperability of smart grid technology.

Van Meter said “Lockheed Martin is proud to continue its involvement in energy and smart grid technologies and welcomes this opportunity to help build a robust set of standards and processes for the industry.”

Van Meter was elected because of his experience and extensive knowledge of high-end technology.
