News – ASM Selected AppDetectivePro for Database Assessment

Earlier this week, ASM Research Inc. announced its selection of Application Security Inc.’s AppDetectivePro for its database assessment. This is an agentless database. The fact that it is agentless will be beneficial to ASM because it can be implemented very quickly and the benefits will be seen rapidly as well.  It will be used for database discovery and vulnerability assessments.

AppDetectivePro has thousands of licenses worldwide. According to Orlando Ferreiras, Director of Security, Information Assurance Services, ASM Research, Inc, “Our clients include many of the largest Department of Defense agencies, so it’s critical that we offer the analytics and reporting capabilities required to comply with DISA STIG policy standards.” He continued on to say, “we’ve selected AppDetectivePro because of its comprehensive coverage of the DISA STIGs, and its enhanced access control mining capabilities, which are the most comprehensive in the industry.”
