Executive Move – Tom Sofo Joins NJVC as General Counsel

Former Vice President and General Counsel at Apptis Holdings in Delaware Tom Sofo has joined NJVC as General Counsel. Sofo will serve as in-house legal counsel and provide legal oversight and guidance to facilitate the proper conduct of authorized NJVC business activities. Sofo will also act as NJVC’s legislative liaison. As a member of the NJVC executive leadership team, he will provide strategic and policy direction to the company.

Sofo has more than 22 years of legal experience, including specialization in contracts, employment law, transactional and compliance as well as licensing and software. He also has held entrepreneurial roles, including work as a private consultant with various government agencies, trade press and the investment community.

Most recently, as Vice President and General Counsel at Apptis Holdings in Delaware, Sofo was responsible for two Delaware holding companies, four operating companies, two LLCs and two JVs. He also was an attorney with the District-based firm Cole, Raywid & Braverman, LLP, and a legislative and regulatory affairs consultant with the FiberTech Group Inc. of Landisville, N.J.

Sofo earned his J.D. from Cornell University Law School, and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester.
