Unisys announced today that its subsidiary based in the United Kingdom was awarded an outsourcing contract from Unilever. The contract, for an undisclosed amount, has a base of four years with a one year option.
Under the contract, Unisys will provide IT management and support services to Unilever employees throughout Europe and the Americas. This will include providing desktop management, desk side support, providing a framework for using mobile technology and running a service center. Peter Opalka, Unilever’s VP of Global Client Services, said “We selected Unisys as our key partner for end-user support services because of the company’s proven service delivery capabilities and innovative roadmap for evolving desktop services to provide our workforce with anywhere, anytime access to tools critical to their business productivity.” Unilever provides foods, personal products and care globally. Unisys and Unilever have been partners since 2005. Ron Frankenfield, VP Global Sales for Unisys, said“Unisys looks forward to a long and mutually-beneficial relationship with Unilever.”
