Contract Award- Telephonics – $6.9 Million – Lockheed Martin

Last week, Lockheed Martin awarded Telephonics a contract to manufacture support systems for Navy helicopters. The contract, worth $6.9 million, will be delivered by 2011.

Under the contract, Telephonics will produce and deliver test equipment for the Multi-Mission Helicopter communications system, also developed by Telephonics. The test equipment will enable the Navy to conduct repairs to the helicopter system when deployed.

Phil Nicholas, president of Communications Systems Division at Telephonics, said “Telphonics is dedicated to providing long term support for our communication systems to the Navy and we believe giving the Navy the ability to organically support our systems will provide the fleet with the best available logistics support. We look forward to continuing our relationship with FRC-SW as the organic program matures.”
