Contract Award – CSC – HHS

Computer Sciences Corporation has been awarded an Information Technology Infrastructure Operations indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract by the  U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The contract, which was awarded to CSC during its second-quarter fiscal that ended Oct. 2,  has a three-year base period and four one-year options.

CSC is one of two companies eligible to compete for task orders in two of the four functional areas defined in the IDIQ. CSC will compete to provide Web services, including Internet and remote access to the HHS server, as well as hardware and software services such as network file sharing, data backup and restoring, help desk and desk side support, and network administration.

Tom Anderson, president of CSC’s North American Public Sector Civil and Government Health Services Group, said CSC is committed to providing cost-effective and flexible enterprise solutions to meet HHS business requirements. “We will enhance the agency’s technical capabilities by improving security, increasing reliability and standardizing procedures and processes, ” he added.
