Contract Award- CSC – $2.9 Billion – Zurich Financial Services

Zurich Financial Services has awarded CSC a contract to provide data center and IT services for operations in North America and Europe. The 10.5 year contract is worth a potential $2.9 billion and work is expected to begin in early 2010.

Under the contract, CSC will provide server virtualization and global data centralization. The contract is meant to modernize and virtualize the existing data center at Zurich Financial Services. The contract also contains provisions for country specific agreements. The new system will make the data center much more flexible.
