News- More Financial Value in Healthy Workers

According to a recent Wellness Survey, employers throughout the world are focusing more on improving the wellness of employees in an effort to keep them working. The notable exclusions to this effort are US and Asian companies, where lower health care costs and improving morale are the most important considerations respectively.

The survey, released by Buck Consultants, examined over 1, 000 organizations worldwide, employing around 10 million employees in around 45 nations. Companies throughout the world, except in the Americas cite stress as the greatest health and wellness concern that they seek to address. Companies in the Americas cited poor nutrition and lack of exercise. Despite the global economic situation, companies are continuing to place value on wellness programs, with strong expansion of programs throughout the world.
