QinetiQ North America could earn $28 million from National Defense University work

On Tuesday, QinetiQ North America announced that it has been awarded a contract to provide IT support services for the National Defense University (NDU). The contract is potentially worth $28 million over five years.

QinetiQ will support the National Defense University’s Information Technology Directorate by providing IT services and support to the NDU community, migrating the organization to its target architecture, and providing information assurance support. The effort will support NDU’s campus at Fort McNair in Washington, DC and at the Joint Forces Staff College (JFSC) in Norfolk, Va. The NDU mission is to prepare military and civilian leaders from the United States and other countries to evaluate national and international security challenges through multi-disciplinary educational and research, professional exchanges, and outreach programs.

“We are excited to be supporting the National Defense University in this vital effort to provide a vigorous IT infrastructure that fosters the robust exchange of information for their diverse user community, ” said QinetiQ North America Chief Executive Officer Duane Andrews. “We are confident we will deliver the same high-quality solutions to NDU that our other customers in the Department of Defense have long come to expect. We are also excited to receive our first order under the GSA Alliant GWAC and continuing our long-term contracting relationship with GSA.”
