Larry Dodgen the new face of Northrop Grumman in Huntsville, Ala.


On Monday, Northrop Grumman announced that it has named Larry Dodgen corporate lead executive (CLE) for company business in Huntsville, Ala. Dodgen replaces Dan Montgomery, Northrop Grumman’s Huntsville CLE for the past five years, who has announced his plans to retire.

Dodgen now becomes the company’s principal point of contact for all Northrop Grumman business in the Huntsville region. He will also be responsible for promoting and coordinating the activities of all Northrop Grumman sectors with local business and community interests. With more than 1, 200 employees in the Huntsville/Madison County area, Northrop Grumman is among Huntsville’s largest employers.

After serving in the U.S. Army for 34 years, Dodgen joined Northrop Grumman as vice president of strategy for the missile systems business area in 2007. Most recently, Dodgen was a sector vice president within Northrop Grumman’s Information Systems sector and the executive lead for the corporation’s Missile Defense Integration Group. He will continue in that role while serving as the company’s Huntsville CLE.

We look forward to the skill and energy he will bring to the CLE role.”

Dodgen earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, La. He also holds a MBA in public administration from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, Mo., and a master’s degree in national security and strategy from the United States Naval War College.
