The U.S. Navy has awarded General Dynamics Electric Boat, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics, a $61.8 contract extension to a contract for submarine modernization and maintenance. The award extends two existing contracts for submarine work and reactor-plant planning yard work.
The contract continues non-nuclear submarine modernization and repairs in Connecticut under a $43.7 million extension and provides for continued reactor-plant planning yard services for nuclear submarines and moored training ships under a separate $18.1 million contract extension.
