HP to Provide US Air Force with Latest Technologies


The U.S. Air Force has chosen HP to outfit it with HP workstations and desktop PCs under its enterprise IT purchase program, part of the USAF DLS (desktop, laptop and servers) Quarterly Enterprise Buy. Outlined in the contract are customized security specifications that HP will provide.

The new order will provide the USAF with the HP xw4600 Workstation, a single processor socket workstation designed to optimize energy when paired with the right power supply; the Dual PCIe X16 Gen2 graphics interface, which provides four times the performance of previous versions and multiple display utility without compromise; and the HP EliteBook 8730w Mobile Workstation in both standard and custom versions.

HP has 60 years of experience working to fulfill the technology needs for the US Military and federal government. Currently over 400, 000 units of HP product are utilized by the USAF.
