Citrix and “Power IT Down Day” Donate to Wounded Warrior Project

Citrix Systems, Inc. has announced that the “Power IT Down Day” alliance of Citrix, Microsoft, Intel and HP will demonstrate their commitment to the August 27 energy awareness event by making a financial donation of at least $20, 000 to Wounded Warrior Project. The donation will remind government and industry of the money that could be saved – and put to good use – when users “power down” their IT equipment. Wounded Warrior Project Executive Director, Steve Nardizzi said “We are honored to be selected for this year’s Power IT Down Day.  Citrix and its industry partners have created an excellent tool to raise awareness about green IT and responsible energy consumption while helping Wounded Warrior Project in our mission to honor and empower wounded.”
