SRA International Inc. has won a 31-month task order potentially worth $63 million under the Encore II contract vehicle to provide new communications infrastructure for the Defense Department’s Joint Staff Information Network.
SRA will support the Joint Staff goal to fully integrate IT functions delivering project management, development, testing, sustainment, end-user support, asset management and procurement. According to SRA officials, the primary objective of the task order is to seamlessly integrate new technologies and make necessary updates to systems and applications that maximize capability and deliver reliable, efficient and sustainable IT services for all JSIN staff members.
SRA will assume the operation, maintenance and modernization of the existing Joint Staff communications infrastructure, including servers, networks and desktops. The firm will also initiate and participate in new projects to ensure the implementation of the latest technology and apply new developments for improved security and performance.
