Harris Corp. to Fill $13.5 Million Air Force Communications Contract

Harris Corp. will fill a $13.5 million Air Force order for radios and a new digital intercom system for its ground vehicles.  Under the contract, Harris will provide its Falcon III AN/VRC-110 multiband, multimode vehicular radios, according to company officials.

The contractor also will furnish its new RF-7800I Tactical Intercom System for Air Force Humvees assigned to ground missions.  The intercom system essentially establishes a vehicular command and control center by unifying the technologies that connect the crew to the broader battlefield network, and streamlines communications as a network backbone, according to Dana Mehnert, group president at Harris RF Communications.
