CH2MA CH2M-led consortium has won a potential 10-year, $500 million contract to provide engineering and construction support for the first phase of the High Speed 2 railway project in the U.K.

CH2M will work with SENER and Atkins to provide program and construction management support, engineering services and assistance for the acquisition of the civils contracts for the HS2 project’s London-Birmingham route, CH2M said Monday.

James Rowntree, managing director of transportation for Europe at CH2M, said the company will leverage its current phase one development partnership with HS2 to ensure the delivery of the infrastructure project through the consortium.

CH2M will provide program management services, SENER will provide expertise on high-speed rail while Atkins will provide engineering services as part of the contract.
