SOS International to Provide Army Base Life Support in Iraq for $125M

SOSI SOS InternationalSOS International will provide base life support at U.S. Army bases in Taji and Besmaya in Iraq through mid-2018 under two prime contracts worth $125 million combined in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.

The company said Wednesday the contracts cover lodging, office space, medical and meal services, Internet communications and other services, equipment, supplies and facilities for deployed forces and contractors.

“This is the first time the Army has contracted for a single turnkey solution that includes not just basic life support services, but emergency medical and fire services, bulk food and fuel, and perimeter security as well, ” said SOSi CEO Julian Setian.

He noted that the company’s fixed-price approach to contracting works to help SOSi meet requirements and standards for cost and performance.
