General Dynamics Receives Upgrade Work on Navy Submarine Tracking Software


general dynamics logoTYSONS CORNER, VA July 27, 2015 — ExecutiveBiz reported Friday on General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) being awarded $20 million to continue its upgrade the U.S. Navy’s AN/BYG-1 submarine tracking software at its Pittsfield facility in Massachusetts.

The new work is part of a 2009 contract on the technology used on the Navy’s Los Angeles, Seawolf, Virginia and SSGN-class submarines, as well as the Collins class operated by the Royal Australian Navy, General Dynamics said Thursday.
