Exelis (NYSE: XLS) has purchased a Web-based tool developed by travel analytics firm ARC to manage corporate air travel.
FareSight works to compare average ticket prices for air travel and also analyze both air travel patterns and spending, ARC announced Wednesday.
“When FareSight transitioned to general availability, we purchased the product knowing the value was in understanding how our air travel rates stack against other companies traveling in the same domestic and global markets Exelis travels, ” said Rene Colyer, Exelis corporate travel department manager.
The transaction makes Exelis the first FareSight customer of ARC.
ARC built Faresight to monitor and adjust corporate air travel policies, audit and negotiate airline ticket rates and help travel managers set preferences.
