SAIC (NYSE: SAI) has announced the appointment of Dr. David Heimbrook as chief executive officer of the firm’s subsidiary Frederick, Inc. Heimbrook will be responsible for the management and oversight of all scientific and business activities conducted on the contract.
The new CEO will lead SAIC-Frederick’s workforce of 2, 000 scientific, technical, and support professionals who perform basic and applied research in cancer and AIDS. Frederick, Inc. provides operations and technical support to the National Cancer Institute’s Federally Funded Research and Development Center.

Heimbrook’s more than 20 years’ experience in cancer research include a role as the global head of discovery for the Oncology and Discovery and Translation area of Hoffman-LaRoche, Inc.
