A Tanium–World Wide Technologyteam has won a potential $750 million “other transaction” agreement to help the Defense Department and other federal agencies secure information technology systems at the endpoint level.
WWT said Tuesday it worked with Defense Innovation Unit Experimental to negotiate and finalize the Production-OTA on behalf of the U.S. Army.
The contract will also provide federal customers access to an endpoint management as a service that comprises Tanium-built technology and optional software modules; architectural design; installation configuration and deployment; cyber; and technical support services.
Under an initial $35 million task order, WWT will implement Tanium’s endpoint security platform to help manage and defend the Army’s network of 1.2 million endpoints worldwide against cyber threats.
Bryan Thomas, vice president of federal sales at WWT, said the partnership with Tanium seeks to automate the processes for the service branch to detect and remediate threats in real time.
