VSE (Nasdaq: VSEC) has secured a potential five-year, $565 million contract from U.S. Air Force to help maintain the service branch’s C-5 aircraft fleet.
The contractor will provide supplemental depot capability for the military transport aircraft under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
Work will occur in Fort Worth, Texas, through June 29, 2028.
According to solicitation documents, the contract will supplement work performed by the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia and similar efforts.
Support may also extend to C-5M stateside operating locations.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center received two bids for the procurement effort via a competitive acquisition. It is obligating $43.2 million in the service branch’s fiscal 2023 transportation working capital funds at the time of award.
