Vice Adm. Jon Hill to Keynote Potomac Officers Club's 2021 Industrial Space Defense Summit This Tuesday

Vice Adm. Jon Hill, director of the Missile Defense Agency, will deliver a closing keynote speech on March 23 at the 2021 Industrial Space Defense Summit, a Potomac Officers Club-hosted virtual event covering U.S. military innovation and partnership efforts in the space security arena.

In his current capacity, Hill oversees MDA’s efforts to develop and sustain capabilities for defending U.S. assets from ballistic missile threats.

The experienced surface warfare officer previously led the U.S. Navy’s program executive office for integrated warfare systems, where he oversaw the development and certification of missiles, radars, naval guns, electronic warfare systems and ship control platforms. He also held technical and management roles for the AEGIS system, which facilitates the targeting and missile defense functions of a naval ship.

Hill, who has been with the Department of Defense since the 1990s, is a recipient of multiple awards including the Navy Distinguished Service Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal and the Defense Superior Service Medal.

The Potomac Officers Club will also feature Gen. John Raymond, the U.S. Space Force’s chief of space operations and a two-time Wash100 awardee, as an opening keynote speaker at the 2021 Industrial Space Defense Summit.
