UTC's Pratt & Whitney to Maintain, Sustain F-35 Units Under $266M DoD Contract

United Technologies Corp.™s (NYSE: UTX) Pratt & Whitney subsidiary has landed a $266M contract to sustain F-35 aircraft of the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, non-Defense Department users and foreign military sales customers.

The Navy-awarded contract provides for non-recurring sustainment support; depot activation supplies, planning and services; maintenance equipment; and engines and modules needed for test cells, the DoD said Thursday.

Work will take place in East Hartford, Conn. through October 2021.

The Navy will immediately obligate the cost-plus-incentive-fee, fixed-price-incentive-firm-target contract’s entire amount that combines funds allotted for DoD fiscal 2017 aircraft procurement and FMS activities.

Naval Air Systems Command issued the sole-source contract.
