Subsidiaries of Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Textron (NYSE: TXT) have landed spots under a potential five-year, $475 million contract that covers mid-endurance unmanned aircraft system intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance services to the U.S. Special Operations Command.
The Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday that Boeing’s Insitu business and Textron’s AAI Corp. subsidiary will vie for task orders under the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
DoD added the contract contains a 54-month period of performance, with four one-year ordering periods and an additional six-month ordering period.
Work will take place at multiple locations worldwide through June 2022.
