Arcturus UAV has won a spot under a potential five-year, $475 million contract from the U.S. Special Operations Command to provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance support for mid-endurance unmanned aircraft systems.
The Defense Departmentsaid Tuesday the contract has four one-year ordering periods followed by one six-month ordering period.
Boeing‘s (NYSE: BA) Insitu business and Textron‘s (NYSE: TXT) AAI Corp. subsidiary were also awarded spots on the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
The Pentagon expects all three awardees to finish work in June 2022.
USSOCOM received eight proposals for the multiple-award contract and obligated $150,000 in fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance funds to each contractor.
