United States Marine Inc. has secured a potential five-year, $108M contract to build combatant craft assault boats for the U.S. Special Operations Command.
SOCOM awarded the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract through a sole-source acquisition process and is obligating $12M at the time of award, the Department of Defense said Monday.
The project will take place in Gulfport, Miss., with an expected completion date of April 13, 2025.
“USMI looks forward to continuing our work on behalf of the warfighter and we appreciate the confidence the United States Special Operations Command continues to have in us,” USMI CEO Barry Dreyfus Jr. said in a statement released Monday.
“We are also proud to work with the tremendous members and Staff of the Mississippi delegation. They are instrumental in ensuring that our military has what it needs and that the defense industrial base in Mississippi is protected.”
