Air Force Taps 4 Companies for $300M Military Test Facility Modernization Contract

Four companies have won spots on a five-year, $300 million contract to restore and modernize ground test facilities for the U.S. Air Force.

The military service received eight offers for the Facilities Acquisitions for Restoration and Modernization II contract via a competitive acquisition process, the Department of Defense said Monday.

Awardees could update mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and data systems and controls equipment. They will have the opportunity to carry out design-build projects at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex in Tennessee, the Eglin AF Base in Florida and geographically separated USAF units.

The awardees are:

• Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company
• Federal
• Healtheon
• Turner Construction

USAF is obligating $1.5 million on the IDIQ award and expects work to conclude by March 7, 2027.
