The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Baltimore District has issued a special notice requesting comments on the potential use of a project labor agreement for the planned construction of the Cyber National Mission Force Mission Operations Building at Fort George G. Meade in Maryland.
According to the request for comments posted Monday on SAM.gov, the USACE Baltimore District is seeking industry feedback on whether a PLA requirement would limit qualified offerors, affecting competition and pricing. Interested parties can submit their responses until Nov. 5.
CNMF MOF Infrastructure & Design Features
The CNMF MOF project is a $500 million effort to build a 750,894-square-foot facility to accommodate 2,437 personnel. The multi-story building will feature offices, collaboration and operational areas, meeting spaces, machine rooms, remote learning and video teleconferencing spaces, and a full basement. Amenities include a food market, fitness center, an elevated walkway to a nearby building, and environmental enhancements throughout the site.
The project involves building the core structure, foundation, elevators, utilities, fire protection, IT and security systems, and exterior finishes. Interiors will include raised floors, acoustic partitions, lighting, climate control, and communications, all meeting Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility standards.
The facility will include redundant power sources and uninterruptible power supply systems to ensure continuous operations. About 1,758 spaces will be added to the parking garage.
