Unisys (NYSE: UIS) has received a potential three-year, $102 million contract from the U.S. Census Bureau to provide information technology systems for nearly 250 area offices as part of the 2020 Census program, Federal News Radio reported Friday.
Albert Fontenot, associate director of decennial census programs, announced the contract award through the agencys 2020 Census Program Management Reviewpublished Friday.
The Field IT Deployment contract includes installation, replacement, patching, configuration, troubleshooting, technical and decommissioning support for IT systems fielded across all census sites.
Unisys will provide on-site staff for system administration and help desk support services for all IT platforms and software under the FITd contract.
The contract also covers two paper data capture centers, five island area offices, field office in Puerto Rico and more than 1,500 remote employees in addition to 248 area offices.
