UAV Factory, a portfolio company of AE Industrial Partners, has adopted the name Edge Autonomy following its combination with Jennings Aeronautics Inc. and will focus on expanding its market presence in multidomain autonomous and unmanned systems applications.
Edge Autonomy said Tuesday it will be headquartered in JAI’s former corporate office in San Luis Obispo, California, and will focus on bringing unmanned aerial vehicle platforms and electro-optical and infrared camera payloads to government, academic and commercial markets in nearly 60 countries in support of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.
The combined entity has support offices in Herndon, Virginia, and Bend, Oregon.
“The name Edge Autonomy reflects the vision of the organization and speaks to our ability to drive and deliver innovation at the tactical edge,” said Jeff Hart, a principal at AE Industrial Partners.
