Tyonek Subsidiary Lands $110M Army Environmental Control Unit Upgrade Contract

A Tyonek Native Corporation subsidiary has secured a potential $110 million contract to update environmental control units for the U.S. Army.

Tyonek said Thursday its TFab Defense Systems business will work with HDT Global  and Rocky Research to produce, test and deliver four new variants of ECU variants designed to comply with environmental regulations on the control of Class II Ozone Depleting Chemicals.

The team will manufacture the ECUs at two facilities in Madison, Alabama, and Solon, Ohio.

Steve Adlich, president of Tyonek’s manufacturing group, said the company uses its technical experience to design and produce environmental control technology products for military use.
