The U.S. Transportation Command has awarded three companies separate contracts worth a combined $518.1 million to provide air transportation services within the U.S. Africa Command’s area of responsibility.
The Defense Departmentsaid Monday thatAirlift Group, Berry Aviation and Erickson‘s helicopter business have each received an indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity contract valued at $204.2 million, $212.7 million and $101.2 million, respectively.
The contracts’ period of performance began Feb. 1, 2017, and will run through Jan. 31, 2018.
Transcom will finance each task order with operations and maintenance funds for fiscal 2017.
