Tim Byers, who has nearly four decades of military and industry experience, has been named senior vice president and general manager of federal and environmental solutions business at Jacobs (NYSE: J).
Jacobs said Thursday that Byers will lead the unit that offers infrastructure and environmental support for U.S. public and private sector clients including organizations that support the fight against COVID-19.
The retired Air Force major general most recently served as VP of federal strategy and sales manager within the company’s buildings and infrastructure segment, where he led projects with the Department of Defense and contractors like Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), Boeing (NYSE: BA), General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) and Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT).
Prior to joining Jacobs in 2016, he worked in engineering roles of increasing responsibility at the U.S. Air Force for more than three decades. He also held SVP roles at Atkins and CH2M after his retirement from military service.
“His depth of leadership experience and ‘people first, mission always’ ethos is key in helping the government and private sector deliver critical solutions that advance strategic initiatives and support operational and environmental excellence,” saod Bob Pragada, president and chief operating officer of Jacobs.
Byers serves on Jacobs’ ACE Employee and VETNET networks as well as the boards of multiple nonprofits.
