Airborne Tactical Advantage Company will use the Mirage F1 combat aircraft to help the military service conduct at least 1,100 training sorties annually over a four-and-a-half-year period, Textron said Tuesday.
The service branch selected ATAC to support flight operations at three of the six initial operating locations identified under the Combat Air Forces Contracted Air Support program.
ATAC is scheduled to begin work at Holloman AFB in New Mexico later this month and at Luke AFB in Arizona later this year.
The airborne training provider will also provide close air support instruction to AF Special Operations Command's joint terminal air controllers through the CAF CAS program, according to Textron.
