Strategic Test Solutions Lands $1.86B Air Force Contract for Eglin AFB Services

The U.S. Air Force has awarded the $1.87 billion Eglin Operations and Maintenance Service II contract to Huntsville, Alabama-based Strategic Test Solutions.

What Is the Scope of the EOMS II Contract?

The long-term service contract covers operations and maintenance services for the Eglin Test and Training Complex and Major Ground Test Facilities, the Department of War said Tuesday. Work under the contract will take place at Eglin AFB in Florida and is scheduled to run through March 2036.

How Was the Contract Awarded & Funded?

The EOMS II award was the result of a competitive acquisition, with three companies submitting proposals. At the time of the award, the Air Force obligated $100,000 in fiscal 2026 operations and maintenance funds, with additional funding expected to be added incrementally. The Air Force Test Center at Eglin AFB is managing the contract.

Air Force’s EOMS II Request for Information Details

The award follows market research conducted in April 2024 for a potential 10-year follow-on contract under the EOMS II Program, which outlined requirements supporting research and development, training missions and test and evaluation of military weapons and military aerospace equipment. According to the request for information, the effort includes range support, instrumentation, explosive test facilities and ground test infrastructure.
