StandardAero will continue to provide maintenance and repair support for P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft engines under a potential one-year, $209.5 million contract modificationawarded by the U.S. Navy.
The modification exercises an option on a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract and covers depot-level maintenance and repair of CFM56-7B27A/3 and CFM56-7B27AE engines in support of the Navy, Australian government and other foreign sales customers, the Department of Defense said Monday.
The majority of the work will occur in Manitoba, Canada, and the rest will be performed in the U.S., particularly in Cincinnati and San Antonio, through October 2024.
Naval Air Systems Command will obligate funds upon award of individual orders.
In 2018, the Navy awarded StandardAero and two other companies IDIQ contracts for P-8A aircraft engine maintenance work.
