SSC said Friday the HADES follow-on contract succeeds the existing engineering, development, integration and sustainment, or EDIS, services program. It covers engineering, development, integration and sustainment services for the satellite ground systems and the Research, Development, Test and Evaluation Support Complex, or RSC, at Kirtland Air Force Base.
The deal is intended to help the RSC transition from traditional on-site servers to a cloud-based architecture, strengthening the facility’s cybersecurity, resilience and flexibility and enabling continued advancement of space technologies.
What Are the HADES Contract Details and Timeline?
According to USSF Lt. Col. John Purcell, contracting officer for HADES, the program has a potential value of $200 million and is projected to be awarded in December 2026. He added that a draft RFP will be released on SAM.gov for public comment at the end of January.
